Is Notion down right now?

Checking Notion…

Reading the latest checks from UptimeTea monitors…

Notion holds docs, wikis, project boards and meeting notes for teams of every size. When it is down, the team's shared memory is out of reach.

What we are checking

These are real UptimeTea monitors, not a scrape of Notion's own status page. Each is requested every minute from several locations, and a failure is re-verified from an independent location before it counts.

Checking…

Notion.com

Notion's main website and sign-in entry point.

Checking…

Notion app

www.notion.so, the domain the Notion web app and shared pages are served from.

Second opinion: Notion's official status page. Vendors update it after they confirm an incident, which is usually minutes after it starts.

What to do when Notion is down

  1. 1

Use offline pages if you set them up

The Notion desktop and mobile apps can keep pages available offline. Open them there before assuming everything is lost.

  2. 2

    Do not paste edits twice

Edits made during an outage can sync late. Wait for the page to catch up before redoing work, or you may end up with duplicates.

  3. 3

    Keep runbooks somewhere else too

If your incident runbooks live in Notion, keep a copy outside it. You need them most when other tools are failing.

Frequently asked questions

How do you know if Notion is down?
UptimeTea monitors load notion.com and notion.so every minute from several locations. A failed check is re-verified from an independent location before it counts.
Notion is slow but loads. Is it down?
That is usually degraded performance, which the official status page lists separately from full outages. Large pages and databases also load slowly on their own.
Is my data lost during a Notion outage?
No. Outages affect access, not stored content. Unsynced edits on your device usually sync once the service is back.
Can I get an alert when a public Notion page goes down?
Yes. Add the page URL as a monitor in UptimeTea and you get an email the moment it stops loading. The free plan includes 50 monitors.
