    Move incident talk somewhere else

    Agree on a backup channel before you need it: a phone bridge, email thread or another chat tool. An outage is the worst time to decide.

    If your monitoring only posts to Slack, you will miss alerts while Slack is down. Add email, SMS or phone calls for critical monitors.

    Refresh before you reinstall

That is usually a partial outage in messaging or connections, and it shows on the official status page as degraded. The web app can load while real-time messaging fails.
Are Slack notifications delayed during an outage?
Often, yes. Webhooks and bot messages may queue or be dropped. Critical alerts should go through a second channel so they are not lost.
